Internal Revenue Manual on Religion

Internal Revenue Manual on Religion

http://www.irs.gov/irm/part7/irm_07-025-003.html

Part 7. Rulings and Agreements

Chapter 25. Exempt Organizations Determinations Manual

Section 3. Religious, Charitable, Educational, Etc., Organizations

7.25.3.6        Religion or Advancement of Religion

Part 7, Chapter 25 Section 3 Article 73 reads:

“The constitutional protections afforded religious beliefs do not prevent government from regulating conduct or actions when it has a ‘compelling interest’ to do so.

Thus, the First Amendment does not prevent the government from requiring compliance with general laws designed to effectuate an important governmental policy or objective…

…even though compliance may be contrary to an individual’s sincerely-held religious beliefs.”

What part of congress shall make no law is lost on congress.

By compelling religions to file 501c3 and act according to government regulation and policies, it is illegal for religious leader to exercise their conscience or freedom of speech, press and redress. We have removed our moral and community leaders ability to declare a sinner a sinner, a criminal a criminal or a tyrant a tyrant, so long as the evil doer is in public office.

This is like the Alien and Sedition Acts but only for the Religions and their leaders.

Is it a ‘Separation of church and state’ or a ‘separation of state from church’?

Article 1 of the constitution reads…

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Is this defining a ‘Separation of church and state’ or a ‘separation of state from church’?

Once long ago there was a king, the people were subject to him and he looked after them for this. He ruled the land as his kingdom.

He decided to rule the religion as well, the prayers that could be said, the language that could be spoken, the bibles that could be printed, the churches that could be attended and the laws that must be followed.

For this the people warred with the king.
