BART Police use Kill Switch to prevent Protest over Killer Police

According to Lt Andy Alkire of the bay area’s BART police force “Media Relations made that decision”

Linton Johnson, the BART public relations spokesman, that was on site for the ‘would-be’ protest, did not know if this had ever been done before because, “the tactics that the cops use, I am not always privy to”, however he did confirm that it was his department which had suggested turning off cell phone service.

Police stated that their number one priority was keeping everyone safe, when it should be to protect the safety of the constitutional rights of all individuals.

This justification rings especially false when it was the PR department of the police that made the recommendation to kill protestor’s communications. A good PR move to silence and obstruct bad press but hardly a justifiable defense of the public’s safety and rights.

Public Safety exceptions to the constitution have encroached on the personal fundamental natural rights of individuals in past, but have only been upheld as legal, if there was proof of criminal intent and an immediate, clear and present, danger to the safety of individuals and the public.

The fact that some protests and assemblies in the past have caused injuries or damage is never a legal justification for government interference of the constitutionally guaranteed right to protest or assemble.

Intervention in a protest of the BART police, by the BART police is a conflict of interest so great, that it presents a clear a present danger to the civil liberties of everyone in San Francisco.

The BART police and the public servants of San Francisco violated the citizen’s Freedoms of; Assembly, Speech, Protest and their Right to Contract with telecommunication providers.

In Egypt the government silenced protests against the government by shutting down telecommunications.

In Great Britain they are talking about using their government kill switch as well, to stop protests against the government, after the recent riots.

In San Francisco they have put the constitutional kill switch into bold blue action.

Under the Nuremberg Principles any officer of the government that follows orders which, violate the human liberties of another, is responsible for those violations and will be brought to justice.

‘Just following orders ma’am’, is no excuse for treason against our constitution and the fundamental natural rights and civil liberties of the populace.

To this end, from the person that flipped the kill switch, to the head of the department that gave the order and the officers that served in stopping the assembly, all of them have committed crimes against the humanity of San Fran.

And they all need to be prosecuted, there needs to be a civilian grand jury investigation into these actions and other actions of police obstruction committed throughout the United States.

U.S. Anti-Child Pornography Operation Accidentally Shuts Down 84,000 Sites

In an effort to crack down on child pornography, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of Justice (DOJ) announced the seizure of 10 domains as a part of a new initiative called “Operation Protect Our Children” but they also shut down 84,000 seemingly innocent sites in the process.

Washington, D.C.—The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of Justice (DOJ) today announced the execution of seizure warrants against 10 domain names of websites engaged in the advertisement and distribution of child pornography as part of “Operation Protect Our Children”—a new joint operation between DOJ and DHS’ U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to target sites that provide child pornography.

“Each year, far too many children fall prey to sexual predators and all too often, these heinous acts are recorded in photos and on video and released on the Internet,” said Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano. “DHS is committed to working with our law enforcement partners to shut down websites that promote child pornography to protect these children from further victimization.”

“For all its positive impact, the Internet has also unfortunately created a new way for child predators to commit their inexcusable crimes,” said Assistant Attorney General Lanny A. Breuer of the U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division. “The production and distribution of child pornography wreak havoc on innocent lives. With these domain seizures, we are taking our fight against child pornography to websites that facilitate the exchange of these abusive images.”

This enforcement action was spearheaded by ICE’s Cyber Crimes Center (C3), under a nationwide ICE initiative to identify, investigate and arrest those who prey on children. Individuals attempting to access the seized websites will now find a banner notifying them that the domain name of that website has been seized by federal authorities.

“Operation Protect Our Children” leverages the resources of ICE Homeland Security Investigations, the DOJ Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS) and the DOJ Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section to investigate and prepare seizure warrants against the domain names of websites that host child pornography.

ICE encourages the public to report suspected child predators and any suspicious activity through its toll-free hotline at 1-866-DHS-2ICE. Suspected child sexual exploitation or missing children may be reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, an Operation Predator partner, at 1-800-843-5678 or http://www.cybertipline.com.
